It has come to my attention that someone has been e-mailing those who left memories of my husband on that portion of our miessage board, informing them that according to the Bible Bob's death was a result of God's judgment.
I have every confidence and absolute trust in the goodness of God; His providential care of each one of his children, of whom Bob was one; and of Bob's complete devotion to Christ. Neither of us is (was) afraid of death. We know in whom we trust and we know His power and desire to give us eternal life.
Nevertheless, I am deeply saddened that someone would intrude into other people's lives simply because they happened to want to share a memory of my husband with others. For that intrusion, I apologize for providing the forum through which it happened. We are investigating both the source of the message and ways we can provide a similar forum in the future without the same vulnerability. If you have any information that might help us identify this individual, our investigator would appreciate it. We will pass it on to him confidentially.
In the meantime, I expect everyone accessing this site, Christian or not, to behave with common human decency: respect others' privacy, don't presume God has appointed you to announce his judgment on any individual, and follow the Golden Rule -- treat others as you would like to be treated.
Sincerely in Christ,
